Does anybody have anything that supports the statement "In common United States parlance, social welfare is a synonym for the provision of financial aid in the form of social security."? As far as I know, social welfare=social services (also social work/social worker) here, too.[1] [2] [3], etc. Niteowlneils 00:10, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)


changed "schemes" to "programs" as "scheme" has negative connotation and "program" is neutral

changed "programmes" to "programs"
