Talk: Search for Tomorrow

An event mentioned in this article is a December 26 selected anniversary.

My mother almost lived for CBS soaps when I was a small boy. I was the same age as the dead boy for whom Mary Stuart was mourning. It was all quite depressing and disturbing. What made it even worse was that not long before her best friend's little brother had died in a tractor accident, and this story arc brought it all back. It is incredible how indelible the images from what was then a fifteen-minute show could be! This must have been because it was fifteen minutes every day (at least every weekday).
