Bookmarklet for hiding yourself from watchlist

I just tried my most recent version of the bookmarklet with your monobook.css and monobook.js scripts, and it worked. (I'm using Mozilla 1.7.3) Please try it and let me know if it works for you. Thanks! JesseW 06:16, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Help

Angela, User:Gtabary has been continuously harrasing me on the Johor Bahru articles I wrote, especially the Medical Specialist Centre hospital. Just justify, he claims that the hospital I wrote is not a noticeable place. Consider as well, search for Hospitals in Wikipedia and you see many non-noticeable hospitals as well. Is this fair? Why must the "curse" land on me and not all the others who write about private hospitals? People who raise private hospitals are rich and prominent people. Thanks, User:Chan Han Xiang

It may be best to wait and see what the outcome of the VfD vote is, but there is a Wikipedia:Dispute resolution process if you think that might help. Angela. 17:20, Dec 3, 2004 (UTC)

meetup in NYC

How, where, when does a meetup occur...?Please inform...meecurlee@hotmail.com

See Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC. It will be December 12, but no location has been decided yet. It's just a social meeting, not anything formal, so just add your name to that page, or turn up on the day. Angela 17:20, Dec 3, 2004 (UTC)

London WikiMeet

Just a note to say that it was a real pleasure meeting up with you last night. I look forward to another opportunity to meet sometime in the future. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 08:24, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Thanks. It was great to see you and all the others too. :) Angela. 17:43, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)

Artificial Consciousness, unfortunately again

User asked for mediation at [1] after I requested for comment at Wikipedia:Request for Comment to prevent a possible edit war, after user deleted the whole talk page, and wants to replace the whole article with his text ( Talk:artificial consciousness ). The user asks for procedure, which is not provided by Wikipedia rules, and cannot be voted for by these rules, ie he wants to move the article to another article, which has a different heading, and therefore the most of the text belongs to be deleted, or edited out, as it does not correspond to the heading, and then to replace the whole original article by a text written by him. The parts of the article relevant to Strong AI were already transferred to the Strong AI article. He was asked to edit the article normally, and add his text, but he doesn't want to do it this way. Any advice from you would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tkorrovi 15:38, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

If you say at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation which mediator you want, I'm sure someone will be able to sort this out fairly soon. Angela. 17:24, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
I said on the talk page that I would like you to mediate, though I understand if you refuse, as I see from this talk page how busy you are. In that case, I would be thankful if you would recommend another mediator. Also, concerning that article, I hope only the biggest problem to be solved, a repeated attempts to delete the whole content of the article by different means, instead of editing it normally, and accompanied frequent offenses, or then delete the article. Different from other comments here, I even didn't ask to solve the NPOV attack problem, ie that Paul Beardsell in his only edit recently added NPOV label again, without explaining the reasons anywhere, in spite that I asked him on his talk page, and after the NPOV conflict was solved by the rules of Wikipedia.
Several months ago, Paul Beardsell added NPOV label on article, and wrote the reasons for NPOV on talk page. After that, all these questions were answered, with no objections by him in several months. I was afraid to remove NPOV label though, being afraid of new offenses by him. But then resently the user removed 30% of the article, and the NPOV label. Then I said that NPOV conflict must be solved first, made the appropriate changes in accordance with the answers on talk page, and had to remove the NPOV label. Shortly after that, as I said, Paul Beardsell added NPOV label again, in spite that nothing in the article was changed.
But I don't ask this problem to be solved, this is a minor problem compared to all much bigger problems regarding this article. I agree the NPOV label to remain, if this helps to avoid further conflicts with Paul Beardsell and Matthew Stannard. Again, so sorry for taking your time with these problems, I know you are busy, and I'm very thankful to you. Tkorrovi 18:07, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Sorry, I haven't looked at the talk page yet. I may get a small amount of time to do that this weekend, but I would really suggest a different mediator would be better, since I'm going to be writing stuff for Quarto and preparing for the Soros foundation grant meeting this weekend, and then I will be away with no computer from Monday. Angela. 18:58, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
OK, I understand you are busy, I prefer you but in case if you really don't find a time for this, I would be thankful if you would recommend another mediator. It also doesn't have to be dealt with quickly, it's important that some time something would be done, even if it's a comment or point of view of a person not involved. Thank you. Category:Artificial lakes

Hi - you recently added a new category Category:Artificial lakes. There was an existing category, Category:Reservoirs, which seems mighty similar to me. What would you think about merging these and/or simply deleting Category:Artificial lakes (via WP:CFD)? -- Rick Block 16:44, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Ok. I only created it because 2 pages had that category tag in them already. I've changed those to sub-categories of the Category:Reservoirs now. Angela.

bbc

attention should be paid to the bbc article (a troll 'neath that bridge...).

The exciting world of image tagging

Greetings! A while age you signed up to help tag images, so I thought I'd let you know what's been going on lately in the image-tagging world.

First off, things are moving slow, but at least they're moving in the right direction. (What I mean is, more images are tagged every month than the number of newly uploaded images without tags, so the net number of untagged images keep decreasing.) But judging from the progress on the lists at User:Yann/Untagged Images, most of the time it's just me tagging images. And it sure gets lonely out on the tagging prairie.

Second, I have basically rewritten the User:Yann/Untagged Images page. Hopefully that will make it easier for people to help, and will attract new recruits. What do you think of the new text and layout?

And third, there have been a bunch of new tags added in the last month. Check out Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the new tags and new organization, mostly done by Zondor.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Happy holidays! Quadell (talk) (help) 17:34, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)

Space... and Time!!!

Hi Angela,

Hope your well m8, nice to see you still have ample amounts of text to read through from disputes etc ;)

just like to wish you a merry christmas and to let you know that Andy Mabbett and myself seem to have reached a compromise over Nick Mason (i think?) on the Birmingham page after so much deliberation.

All the best, Nick Boulevard 23:00, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Your name is on the list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC for December 12. In case you forgot to check the page, the venue and time have been both been set. We are planning on meeting at the Moonstruck Diner at 1:30pm. Just wanted to let you know. -- Ram-Man (comment) (talk) 23:09, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
