- Champakulam Moolam Boat Race is the first among them: I could not find out what first really means there (first in history ? first in the yearly calendar ?)
- there are 19 "Karis"(lands): could not find any similar information. The actual subdivision of Alleppey looks quite complex. (Perhaps even more so than the political subdivisions of Belgium !)
- Swan Boat Racing: [1] says Snake boat racing. But perhaps they're also called swan boat races ?
